We Advocate for all stakeholders in early childhood education

Margo Ford, M.Ed.

Executive Director

Margo Ford knows that early childhood education is the foundation to lifelong success. Now in her 13th year as an educator, this is her 11th year in the public-school arena. However, she has also spent time in the non-profit sector. Though she taught one year of Kindergarten, much of her public school years have been in the PreK classroom and this age group has grown to become her passion. While in the non-profit sector time was spent as a director-in-training as well as in the two-year-old classroom as a lead teacher. Ms. Ford has been nominated twice as Teacher of the Year, and advanced to become a finalist in 2020. The love for children lead Margo to major in Birth- Kindergarten Education at Winston-Salem State University, where she earned a bachelor of science degree and developed a passion for family engagement, and literacy. She later attended University of North Carolina at Greensboro, receiving a second master’s degree, this time in Leadership and Administration, while gaining a new passion for advocacy. Ms. Ford is excited to begin her pursuit as a cohort member of the President’s Emerging Leaders Circle!
